George Clooney is directing a new film that will be premiering at TIFF next month, and I find myself curious.
See Clooney has directed one great film (CONFESSIONS OF A DANGEROUS MIND) one masterpiece of a film (GOODNIGHT AND GOOD LUCK) and...well...one other film (LEATHERHEADS). SO one has to wonder, will this film right the ship, and bring the former Doctor Ross back to a place of influential direction...or will he slip further down the slope and become "just one more actor/director?"
Guess I'll find out at TIFF!

this is my first look/hear about this movie. i knew it was the new clooney but nothing else.
ignoring leatherheads as a piece of fluff clooney has been great behind the camera.
giamatti and hoffman in the same movie? that's like dream casting surely?
im excited now. very excited. and its only some american political drama, which not being an american i could care less about.
Oscar bait! Looks like it will be an acting clinic and love the cast. Hopefully, it will live up to expectations.
Echoing the cast love sentiment. I'm kind of hoping this is a morally ambiguous spin, much in the same mood of Gone Baby Gone, on politics. However, I have a feeling Clooney has a message to tell and is going to force that as hard as he can.
@ Toby... I was reading a bit more about this in the newest Entertainment Weekly. I too am now quite excited...it might have even become my TIFF first-round-draft choice!
@ Castor... They're all Oscar bait this time of year. I remain hopeful (and temporarily in the dark)
@ Univarn... Given the fact that the man directed what I believe to be the best film of the last decade, I'll give the guy the benefit of the doubt.
