Alternatively titled: Chewing Ice: The Podcast. D'oh!
Nice ender to this series, which I enjoyed very much. Banged out episodes 2-4 yesterday and this morning. Very nice to hear CS. Was that your brother in the 3rd one (the intro was a bit muffled) - if so, why is he not incognito like you? ;) And the MAMO guys are obviously quite well-versed in film (and TIFF!) lore.
So did you record these Simon and Jo-style with a dictaphone or did you lug around a laptop or what? Either way, nice audio all the way through (which, of course, enabled the chewing incident, I suppose).
Welcome back to the real world!
@ Fletch... That wasn't ice. It was a snack that Price had ordered. I never thought that the mic would pick that up, otherwise I wouldn't have been snacking.
You can also hear me setting my pint down on the table a few times.
That was indeed my brother in episode three - he also made an appearance back on the Oscar episode.
As for the technical end of things, all of these episodes were recorded using Lady Hatter's iPod Nano (hence Bob mentioning "Nice pink iPod" off the top of episode one). Pretty good audio for a little gizmo like that, no?
I figured it wasn't actually ice, but that was better than saying "Rock Candy," which it also kinda sounded like. ;)
Damned good audio...and from such a tiny device! Impressive!
Indeed! And here's a little inside scoop - the MAMO boys record theirs using the very same feature on an iPhone.
