Something Good This Way Comes

The time to hesitate is through...no time to wallow in the mire...

Indeed, the days of anticipation are over, and today my film geekery will shift into hyperdrive. Eleven days, at least twenty films, from eight different countries, soaked in at six different theatres around town.

One last thing I wanted to mention before I head out to get things started with LEGEND OF THE FIST this evening. I intend to do a post for every single film I see - and probably very shortly after I see them - however they won't be the full on DOTM reviews you've become accustomed to. In fact they won't be reviews at all - they'll be reactions.

Interestingly, Peter from /Film tapped into my feelings in a post of his own yesterday, but to summarize, I like to stew on my thoughts a little longer than a film festival allows. So for now please indulge in reactions - and here's when you can expect posts on some of the big showings...

BLACK SWAN - Sunday Sep 19
NEVER LET ME GO - Sunday Sep 19
LET ME IN - Wednesday Sep 15
I'M STILL HERE - Saturday Sep 11
127 HOURS - Tuesday Sep 14
MIRAL - Wednesday Sep 15
MONSTERS - Saturday Sep 18
NORWEGIAN WOOD - Sunday Sep 19
YOU WILL MEET A TALL DARK STRANGER - Monday Sep 20

Rest assured that every film will get a full length review as it gets released in theatres.

And here...we...go...

Have a great time, Hatter!

Realistically full thoughts take days to accumulate and given the time schedule TIFF makes you work with reactions alone would be hard enough to do on every film. Really appreciate your coverage man.

@ Everyone... Thanks folks. I'm looking forward to having actual readership during a film festival for once.

BTW - I've added dates that I should be doing posts on some of the bigger titles.

Just started reading Never Let Me Go, hoping to have it done by next Friday. Can't effing wait, been a while since I've been excited about a movie, probably since Inception. Mark Romanek, man. Glad to have him back.
