Everybody's Talkin' 9 - 3 (Chatter From Other Bloggers)

Funny thing about having an alias; the gifts people give you start to have a theme after a while. Not that I'm not appreciative or anything, I just think if I start collecting anything else, I'll collect myself right into a divorce.

Still, ya gotta admit - that plush Hatter's pretty cute, isn't he? (Thanks Danger!).

There seems to be a lot going on out in the blogosphere these days, and likewise in the lives of my fellow bloggers. People are starting new jobs, going back to school, moving, getting married...there's something about autumn that always seems to bring about changes.

Back inside the world of our common interest, we are finally coming up on the time of year to savour the good stuff. After a truly dreadful summer (God bless art house theatres!), it looks like we've finally passed through the darkness and returned to the light. Depending on who you are, the light could be SKYLINE or the light could be TREE OF LIFE. Well whatever lights up your moviegoin' life, prepare to bask in it. Speaking of basking, let's see what everybody's talkin' about.

For your reading fulfillment, I give you...

Univarn quite rightly points out that we can't call "Scandal!" if we're not in the know.

That movie mem I posted yesterday? Looks like Aiden liked the idea of putting it all into one post as well.

Ruth at Flixchatter is taking stock of the year so far - note that I didn't want to tip my hand just yet.

Speaking of taking stock, Daniel at getafilm just passed three years of blogging (small world!) and has taken a moment to detail what he has learned in all that time of blogging.

Simon has started digging into the films of Kubrick with a post about FULL METAL JACKET.

Peter at The Magic Lantern is thinking about school getting back in, and with that he's taken to listing his Top Five Teacher Movies (Psst...I have an affinity for number three).

Remember back before Mel Gibson was crazy? The Movie Mobsters do.

Find yourself thinking that podcasts are lacking a visual component? Nick at The Doorknob has just the thing.

As visions of MIRAL dance in my head, The Cinema fanatic has created an entire post dedicated to auteur extraordinaire, Julian Schnabel.

Meanwhile, everyones favorite drunken podcaster Kai has rallied the troops to suggest some films you didn't know you needed to see.

Enjoy!

Thanks for the plug, homey. Didn't know Kai was doing his MILFcast drunk. Gonna have to jump on that bandwagon when I cameo one of these days.

Hey thanks for the link love, Hatter, kinda makes me guilty that I have scheduled my Everybody's Chattin' series for later today :)

Hey that plush Hatter is real cute indeed. Good thing your alias isn't Hannibal Lecter, can't imagine what kind of gifts you'd be receiving...

Anyway, happy Fall to you, good sir!

Thanks, man - I'm just happy to have made it three years. After a certain point every year should be considered a milestone!

Looking forward (with envy) to your TIFF coverage again this year...

Thanks for the plug, Hatter. I seem to be getting a reputation for my love of the drink. I suppose if you're going to be a drunken podcaster it's best to be everyone's favorite! :)
Off to see Machete and Scott Pilgrim.
@ Aiden: It's a date!

@ Aiden... Anytime dude. And it looks like he's happy to pour you a glass!

@ Ruth... Anytime, and no worries about scheduling your post on the same day. It's kinda cool...means we're all kicking off our weekend by passing the bottle around the table.

Nick... Anytime amigo. Now I just have to watch the rest of 'em.

@ Daniel... You're an inspiration good sir - one of the ones that has pushed me to keep going for three years.

@ Kaiderman... Ain't nothin' wrong with a little bit of drinkin' Cheers good sir!

haha - thanks for the link love, Hatter! Gotta Love Mr. Holland! I like the compilation here because I only have so many bloggers on my radar, so it gives me an eye on who else is writing what. Good stuff, and again, thanks. I saw Ruth take a page from your book here and she does a great job too...
