Taste You (SOUL KITCHEN Trailer)

It was yet another happening of the now-somewhat-notorious Toronto Blogger Pub Night last night.

This go-round was fun times yet again, perhaps because we were out on the patio for the first time in what seems like forever...or perhaps because TIFF announced part of their line-up yesterday and we all had that to chatter about. Interestingly, there was not much INCEPTION talk. Guess we've all said what we want to say online!

For me it was a pretty cool time because I put two-and-two together thanks to Kurt and introduced myself to a podcaster who I love listening to. Likewise, I also got to finally meet Sasha, The Final Girl. She seemed to have a good time...though I hope all the conversation about films she hasn't seen (films that I haven't even seen) hasn't frightened her off from coming out to another one of these.

Oh - and I called James from Toronto Screen Shots a dick. He's not one, but it was funny at the time.

Anyway, here's a trailer that looks like if it doesn't at least amuse, it will definitely leave ya hungry...

@ Sasha... Yeah, I know. I just liked the ring of it without the last word. Sort of like a movie character:

"Sasha The Final Girl Defends the Universe"

It shall be a blockbuster of epic proportions.

Glad to see Soul Kitchen finally making an appearance. I saw it last year at TIFF and enjoyed the heck out of it. It's not perfect, but there's enough in it to gorge on...Check out Akin's "In July" as well (from 2000, but available domestically on DVD) - it's a lighthearted romance/road movie (again with Moritz Bleibtreu - ie. the "Run Lola Run" guy) that is highly entertaining.

As far as movies we discuss at the Blogger nights, we do occasionally digress into "Oh yeah, but have you seen X?" and then get all huffy when the person hasn't. Always in good spirit though...

I think there may even be one or two I haven't seen yet...B-)

As you already know, I posted the same trailer today. I was just watching bits and pieces of Master Chef and remembered about this trailer, so I thought I made a post on it. Besides, I've never heard of this movie nor the director, but I'm definitely intrigued. Looks like this was a hit around film festivals, even nabbed a nom for Venice Fest's Golden Lion Award.

Bleibtreu will always be known as the RLR guy, but he's also in Munich.
