It's Canada Day today...hence the late post as I just woke up fifteen minutes ago.
It's also a gloriously beautiful day here in Toronto, so I think I'll be spending it down at the lakeshore. Co-incidentlly, that very spot hosts a free movies series every summer, and if I may say so might be my favorite spot in the city to watch a flick.
They do a theme every year, last year was 80's movies, a few years ago it was foreign films. This summer they've decided to go with food movies (Note to self - pack lots of snacks). Here's what's coming...
JULIE & JULIE - Wednesday July 7th, 8:45pm
EAT DRINK MAN WOMAN - Wednesday July 14th, 8:45pm
SUPER SIZE ME - Wednesday July 21st, 9 pm
IN THE MOOD FOR LOVE - Wednesday July 28th, 9 pm
WAITRESS - Wednesday August 4th, 9 pm
Audience Choice - Wednesday August 11th, 8:45pm
(For the choice, audiences will vote between WILLY WONKA, CHOCOLAT, or CHARLIE & THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY)
At a glance I can tell you for sure that I'll be at IN THE MOOD FOR LOVE. Full details can be found at the Harbourfront website. Hope to see some of ya there!

Isn't Fillion in Waitress? That would be the only reason I would watch.
My vote would be Willy Wonka (but I don't live in Toronto).
Happy Canada Day!! Today is my first day learning of such a day, so I'm very excited for my Canadian neighbors! How I didn't hear the fireworks every July 1st, I don't know, but I'm aware now and happy for ya, eh!
@ Hatter: That animal is hung! I shouldn't be jealous of a woodland creature but I AM!
@ FITZ: Fillion is in Waitress. Good little flick. Shame... the director was murdered before the film was released to great reviews!
@ Fitz... When it comes to WAITRESS night, I think I'm gonna have to bring a few slices of pie to snack on.
@ Celtic... Thanks, it was quite a lovely one. Was a little tired last night so I actually missed the fireworks, but there might be more on Saturday so I'll catch 'em then and take a photo or two.
@ Kaiderman... You know that's his tail, right?
OOOOOH... that makes sense! ;)
