So here's me, home from another fun stop on the ballpark tour, skimming the blogs I follow for people's thoughts on INCEPTION.
Not only do I not read any reviews before I write my own, but writing my post about it was one of the last things I did before hitting the road. Long story short - I haven't read a word any of y'all have written about the film. And since this was one of those event movies that everyone (except Helms) has seen - I honestly don't know where to start.
So I want this review to serve double duty. On the one hand, please leave a comment with a link to your review so I can read it - or any interesting takes on it you've seen out there. Once that's done, I'll treat this as somewhat of a special edition of "Everybody's Talkin'"...linking everyone's posts.
So It begins...

We covered Inception on the podcast - without giving anything away. Jo will state his verdict too next week!

All that needs to be said, in my opinion, right here!

Yay, free promotion!
There are some spoilers, though.

I'm assuming "Helms" is a certain blogger.

Saw it yesterday, here is my review:

As always I tried to keep it spoiler free.
Right there with ya' on avoiding reviews before writing your own. Amen, brotha'.

Take a look at the RowThree review - 7 of the writers get their reviews into a single post (which has grown to 77 comments so far). I didn't get mine together fast enough (saw it late Sunday), so they published without me...Sniff.
However, I will be joining the RowThree Cinecast discussion about it (recording tonight - available as soon as possible afterwards).
3000 words and still pretty light on spoilers (though you have to cover SOMETHING):

We're going to talk about this film tonight!!!
Love it too much to review it. I'm one of those.
Red and I's doubleheader review of the movie. He loved it, I enjoyed it although I don't think it's a masterpiece as so many have stated it is.

I'll throw my hat in the ring.

Ooh you're a good man!
Here's our Inception review right here.
Basically along the lines that, yes, it is feasible to have the words 'genius' and 'blockbuster' in the same sentence.
No spoilers as such. Hurrah!
Fantastical share and care idea.
I love how you are constantly reaching out to fellow bloggers Hatter. You are truly a good egg.
I'm certain I'm the only one of us yet to see Inception because of impossible events this past weekend, though I've still read some reviews, Jon Jim and Nathan have already covered it at Movie Mobsters, so I'm probably not going to end up writing about it anyway.
It's overwhelming how positive the reactions are. And such a relief to me.
If I end up hating it I'll write something, but otherwise I think it's safe to say I'm going to enjoy it.
Will there be another movie event like this for the rest of 2010?
I know you read my review on Magic Lantern (thanks for the comments), but here is the link of the Inception review (** 1/2):

Thanks for the links everyone!
@ Heather... If you were openly asking if this sort of fervor will happen again this year, I can only suggest TRON to cause this many people to lose their marbles in such a manner.
If you were asking if *I* specifically will host such a post collecting everyone's opinion on one flick...it seems like something I might go for again...but I'd only want to do it for certain titles that seemingly catch everyone's attention.
Further - I think next time I do it, I'll choose a love-it-or-hate-it film to get more conflicting views.
